Marker Based Screening of F1 (Rosalie x Fuji) Mapping Population for Major Scab Resistance Gene Rvi6 in Apple (Malus × Domestica)

چکیده
Apple (Malus domestica Borkh.) being the most significant and profitable crop cultivated in temperate areas is extremely susceptible to apple scab disease. It becomes problematic when pathogens develop resistance farmers spend a lot of money on fungicides. These widespread worries reasonably call for different disease management strategy order use fungicides less frequently. As result, current study focused gene introgression cultivar ‘Fuji’ using phenotypic marker-assisted screening hybrids created by crossing succeptible with resistant ‘Rosalie’. There was 1:1 Mendelian segregation ratio between hybrids. From our study, obtained have potential be utilized as commercial varieties after evaluation important pomological traits also sources downstream breeding programs.

Metabolic and gene expression analysis of apple (Malus × domestica) carotenogenesis
Carotenoid accumulation confers distinct colouration to plant tissues, with effects on plant response to light and as well as health benefits for consumers of plant products. The carotenoid pathway is controlled by flux of metabolites, rate-limiting enzyme steps, feed-back inhibition, and the strength of sink organelles, the plastids, in the cell. In apple (Malus × domestica Borkh), fruit carot...
متن کاملComprehensive QTL mapping survey dissects the complex fruit texture physiology in apple (Malus x domestica Borkh.).
Fruit ripening is a complex physiological process in plants whereby cell wall programmed changes occur mainly to promote seed dispersal. Cell wall modification also directly regulates the textural properties, a fundamental aspect of fruit quality. In this study, two full-sib populations of apple, with 'Fuji' as the common maternal parent, crossed with 'Delearly' and 'Pink Lady', were used to un...
متن کاملmicroRNAs and Their Targets in Apple (Malus domestica cv. “Fuji”) Involved in Response to Infection of Pathogen Valsa mali
miRNAs are important regulators involving in plant-pathogen interactions. However, their roles in apple tree response to Valsa canker pathogen (Valsa mali, Vm) infection were poorly understood. In this study, we constructed two miRNA libraries using the twig bark tissues of apple tree (Malus domestica Borkh. cv. "Fuji") inoculated with Vm (IVm) and PDA medium (control, BMd). Among all detected ...
متن کاملA and MdMYB1 allele-specific markers controlling apple (Malus x domestica Borkh.) skin color and suitability for marker-assisted selection.
Pre-selection for fruit skin color at the seedling stage would be highly advantageous, with marker-assisted selection offering a potential method for apple pre-selection. A and MdMYB1 alleles are allele-specific DNA markers that are potentially associated with apple skin color, and co-segregate with the Rf and Rni loci, respectively. Here, we assessed the potential application of these 2 allele...
متن کاملTriterpenes and Phenolic Compounds in Apple Fruit (Malus domestica Borkh.)
Apple (Malus × domestica Borkh.), a popular and widely cultivated fruit world-wide, contains bioactive triterpenes and phenolic compounds with potentially valuable pharmacological functions. This thesis investigated the effects of pre-harvest and postharvest factors on concentrations of these bioactive compounds in apples. It also studied the effect of ozone treatment, before or during storage,...
